Achieving Better Behaviour
We need to tell our child what behaviour we expect before going into a situation, particularly if the situation is new or unfamiliar.
By having a set of rules for when you are at home, and another for when you are not at home, you can quickly signal what behaviour is expected in different situations.

Notice a small little thing your child has done well, tell them how great it was, and finish off with a positive global statement about who they are.
Use this pattern in all areas to grow your child’s positive self identity and confidence.
Use the patterned response ‘Yes Hello!’ to give your child a predictable and friendly response to their questions and requests, even when you are very busy.
